The sky is a blanket of gray clouds. I can scarcely see a trace of blue. I find the grayness soothing still, My mind distracted from everyday life. Snow falls slowly, covering the ground Under a layer of solid somberness. I heave a heavy sigh towards the sky And dream that it was like this all the time. Snowflakes gather upon my pale cheeks. I try to catch a few upon my tongue, And as I draw my very last breath I'm tucked into my final bed by winter.
